I'm Wendy Hu, a print/digital art director and graphic designer based in Brooklyn, NY.

Creativity is ingrained in me. One of my earliest "projects" came at the age of three: while my parents were asleep, I took a pair of scissors and slashing away, gave myself an "asymmetrical" haircut. My mother was beyond horrified, but miraculously, I didn't cut my ear off and self-expression was born.

Today that artistic energy is channeled toward branding, advertising, editorial design and photo/video art direction. I've worked with a variety of companies, which include art directing and designing covers for The New York Press, overseeing corporate clients' branding, to creating marketing campaigns for music/entertainment artists. Working on a wide spectrum of projects, the consistency I bring to each client are fresh, conceptual ideas that result in a unique, provocative visual approach.

When it comes to management, I am a deadline taskmaster, a stickler for details, can supervise a design team and collaborate with top photography/illustration talent. In addition, my love for culture, fashion and style translates directly to my work; I also do fashion styling and prop/interior staging for photoshoots.
